Homemade Samosa Pastry Sheets: Easy and Delicious Recipe
You'll need:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of warm water
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Add the vegetable oil and mix well, using your hands to rub the oil into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add the warm water, a little at a time, and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
After the dough has rested, divide it into 10 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
Roll each ball into a thin circle, about 6 inches in diameter.
Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut each circle in half to form two semi-circles.
Take one semi-circle and form a cone shape by bringing the straight edges of the semi-circle together and sealing the seam with water.
Fill the cone with about 2 tablespoons of the samosa filling and press the edges together to seal.
Continue filling and sealing the remaining pastry sheets in the same way.
Your samosa pastry sheets are now ready to be filled with your favorite filling and fried to crispy perfection. Enjoy!
